Some products that could be considered harmful are to be removed from prominent positions in stores UK wide. Leading some to fear their favourite chocolate could end up on the top shelf next to readers wives and razzle. Firm Family Festive Favourites such as puds could be shunned aloft to the top shelf out of the prying eyes of those whom may be harmed by them.

Puds are actually top shelf tackle already in some tesco stores

The Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC) has brought in a ban on displaying products high in fat, salt and sugar (HFSS) in prominent locations such as doorway displays and payment areas. The Government has also confirmed it is delaying a ban on multibuy deals on HFSS foods, such as “buy one, get one free”, until October next year in response to consumers facing cost-of-living pressures.

There has been no confirmation over plans for a crackdown on junk food advertising, which had also been delayed for a year. It emerged earlier this month that the Government was reviewing its anti-obesity strategy, with reports that plans to tackle junk food could be scrapped by Prime Minister Ms Truss amid fears it would increase pressure on consumers already struggling with soaring costs.

It hasn’t ruled on the wording of this product though found in our local Sainsburys..
